A Tiny House Design For Philip Johnson

In this project I had to design a tiny house for Philip Johnson for Architectural Design II class, I have to consider his architectural style but also sticking to the designs that I have in mind. I used a sketchbook to create a few concept sketches and later coming up with the final design. I used the program Sketch Up to create the 3D model of my design of a Tiny House. I build the model from bottom up, starting from the trailer that transports it.  Moving on the walls and windows and finally the roof.  Later completing the rooms and placing comments in to show all the furniture and other necessary items. Lastly I completed the background with trees, mountains and sky to set the mood of the location it is located at.  Being that this design is influenced by Philip Johnson I wanted to stick with brick and glass in my design, I was mainly influenced by the building he deigned called Glass House that was built in 1949. Most of his building be uniformed and straight.  I wanted to have not curve components in my design but also taking unmined his later sculptors.  So I wanted to have some pointy and unique looking windows in my design.  I wanted to bring the outside in but also have some sort of privacy in privet rooms.  This tiny house being located in a rural area, it is not necessary to cover up the unique windows.
The custom windows are a key part of the design, letting the outside in.  The metal framing holding everything together.  The home being partible and can be moved anywhere that it is needed.
Floor Plan
The Living room is wide open and open with many windows.  The sunlight will provide the main light during the day and being able to see out as well as in.  The main area has a couch, dining table TV and area for storage at the front of the tiny house.
A view looking out the custom windows, seeing whatever environment that you put the tiny house in.
Kitchen area, complete with a full size stove, oven, sink and mini refrigerator. The mini refrigerator is built into the cabinets so there is a nice sleek look.  All cabinets are completely usable for storage and other necessities.
The bedroom is more private than the rest of the tiny house.  Has some storage for cloths and other personal items.  To the left is the door to the bathroom for easy access
The bathroom is a nice small bathroom to maximize the remaining space.  All you need to get your morning routine done.
